Meet the rad Teachers
Alysa Romano
Alysa trained at Sonic Yoga in NYC in 2011 and has taught in Miami, Portland, and now Asheville, weaving vinyasa with Budokon and Kundalini influences alongside advanced studies at Asheville Yoga Center. She's also a therapist, and that shows up in her teaching. She has a grounded, nervous-system-aware approach that blends movement and mindfulness into something real, not performative.
Her classes unfold like a story: layered, themed, and full of intentional flow that balances strength with softness, structure with freedom. It's a little dancey, a little deep. Always rooted in helping you actually feel something.
Aviva Weissman
Practicing since 1999 and teaching since 2015, Aviva is a 500-hour certified, trauma-informed teacher whose classes center on intuitive, supportive movement and mindful presence. She approaches teaching with humility and curiosity, genuinely loving the chance to hold space for shared presence, exploration, and connection.
Her classes are designed to leave you feeling rejuvenated, peaceful, and more connected to your true self. Supported and at ease every step of the way.
Elle Burin
Elle's yoga journey started almost by accident. Placed in a high school yoga class at 16, she fell instantly in love with the practice and never looked back. Now a 200-hour certified teacher, she brings that same sense of discovery to every class she leads.
Her classes have a thoughtful build: slow, intentional movement that flows into an energizing sequence, always linked with breath, and closing with a calming Shavasana.
As Rad Yoga's newest teacher, Elle teaches from a genuine place, sharing the same connection to body and mind that changed her own life.
Julien Elizabeth
With 13 years of teaching experience spanning studios, trainings, and retreats worldwide, Julien specializes in alignment-based asana and Yoga Nidra, and also brings a unique lens as an astrologer. She’s drawn to the place where embodiment, philosophy, and meaning-making meet. Favoring curiosity over certainty as a way to deepen self-understanding and move through life with more freedom and trust.
Her classes are grounded and well-paced, balancing strength and challenge with moments of ease, taught with warmth and attentiveness. Students often leave feeling more connected, grounded, and refreshed.
Ellen Saltarelli
With over 20 years of practice and teaching since 2006, Ellen trained in Alignment and Prop Literacy under renowned teacher Alison West, plus a 300-hour program focused on meditation, pranayama, and subtle body anatomy. She's taught across LA, NY, Shanghai, and Tucson, with a practice shaped by decades of self-study and the real-life stages of pregnancy and motherhood.
Her classes are smart and deeply nourishing, breath-led instruction and skillful sequencing built on a prop-informed approach that balances precision with curiosity. Now in Asheville, Ellen brings that same thoughtful structure to every class, leaving students both grounded and engaged.
Kristin Mitchell
A student of yoga since age 15, Kristin trained at Sky Ting in NYC in 2016 and has since taught and led retreats in both New York and LA. She's expanded her toolkit with certifications in Transformational Breathwork, Yoga Meridian Therapy, and studies in Katonah Yoga™, bringing a rich, varied lens to her teaching.
Her classes are welcoming to all with the right amount of challenge. Expect creative flows that emphasize mobility and metaphor, with breath awareness woven throughout. Her classes build strength, resilience, and self-awareness to help her students feel spacious, seen and calm.
